Midnight at the Oasis

Midnight at the Oasis

Each year for the past several The Caballeros de Yuma have been sponsoring the "Show and Shine" Each year it has gotten bigger & bigger. This year they were expecting over a 1000 vehicles to participate. We , being Marge and I along with friends Terry and Shorty went. We were not disappointed at he show. There was so much eye candy to look at(vehicles silly!) We were glad we went early and arrived just after the gates opened. We were able to get some pictures without interference from the other people that were arriving. By noon the fields were swarming with people . I have only posted a very few of the cars I took pictures, as there were so many to chose from. Entrance cost was $5.00 per person. On the grounds were many vendors selling their products, food, car parts, clothing, trinkets etc.
We got on this train for a ride from where we were parked to the entrance gate.

This was a 1937 Ford that was the prize for the person that had the winning ticket

Trip to Prison Museum
We had been to the prison a few years ago, and when friends Dale & Jan wanted to see something, we suggested the Territorial Prison. So off we go and once again renewed our interest and to give them a tour of one of the area interests.
