Mexican Cruise Feb 1 -8, 2009

We left Wellton, AZ early on the morning of Feb. 1st in an AVIS Rental Car. We were headed to Long Beach, CA to board the Carnival Pride for a 7 day cruise down the Mexican Coast. There were 4 of us, Bob & Cathy Raner & ourselves Burt & Marge. Our ship the Carnival Pride was located next to the RMS Queen Mary that is now an attraction.

We set sail at 4pm California time headed to Puerto Vallarta. We are going to sail for two days before we arrive at our first destination. While on board we were kept busy with different events to pass the time & keep us entertained.

On our second evening at sea we had our first formal dress night for the dinner hour. You didn't need to have a tuxedo, but the request was for dress shirt, tie and dress clothes. We were treated to several choices on the dinner menu. I chose a shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and a lobster tail & shrimp for the main course. Bob had prime rib beef as his main course. Marge & Cathy both chose the lobster.

After the formal night we spent the next day up on the pool deck relaxing on the chaise lounges. It was excellent warm weather on the trip south.
